BOOK CLUBS

During the course of being open for a decade and half the shop has tried different formats for Book Clubs. However, nothing quite did the trick. That is until the Summer of 2022 when we decided to try again. I’m not sure what it was. Maybe people were hungry for books or in need of community? Whatever the case was, we tried again and it has been going ever since. “OG” Book Club, as I fondly refer to it, strives to read diversely, inclusively, and definitely outside many readers’ “wheelhouses”. Most have mentioned how grateful they are for the help of Book Club helping them expand their reading. The group continues to grow and we are a close group of readers who have become friends. Our shared loved of all things books and reading, the tight knit bond that brought us together. 

In July of 2023 I embarked on the adventure of starting a second club for Young Adults (YA). It is a slower growth process than its’ predecessor, but it doesn’t mean I don’t have fun. They teach me much and I hope I give them a safe place to read and laugh together. 

The future may hold more book clubs. For now, below you will find an archive of past and current reads for both Book Clubs.
